Getting Started

What is BrickSwap?

BrickSwap is a marketplace for LEGO enthusiasts to buy, sell, and swap LEGO sets with other builders across Europe. You can list sets for sale, propose 1:1 swaps, or offer swaps with a cash top-up.

How do I create an account?

Tap 'Register' and enter your email, password, nickname, and city. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your account. Then complete the onboarding to set up your profile.

Listings

How do I create a listing?

Go to 'Listings' and tap 'List a Set'. Search for your LEGO set by number or name, upload at least 3 photos, select the condition, choose a listing type (sale, 1:1 swap, or swap + cash), and set your location.

How do I add photos to my listing?

During listing creation, you can drag & drop or tap to select photos. Upload between 3 and 10 real photos of your set. The first photo becomes the cover image. Real photos help build trust with buyers.

The set number lookup isn't working. What do I do?

Make sure you're entering only the numeric set number (e.g. 75192, not 'LEGO 75192'). If the set still doesn't appear, it may not be in our database yet. Try searching by name instead, or contact support.

Trading & Swaps

How does trade matching work?

When you list a set for swap, BrickSwap looks for other users who have sets you want and want sets you have. When a match is found, you'll receive a notification. You can then review the match and accept or decline.

How do I accept or reject a trade proposal?

When someone proposes a trade, you'll get a notification. Go to your Transactions page to review the offer. You can accept, decline, or message the other user to discuss details.

What is a swap with cash top-up (dopłata)?

If the sets in a swap aren't equal in value, one party can add a cash top-up (called 'dopłata' in Polish) to balance the trade. For example, if you're swapping a 200 PLN set for a 300 PLN set, you'd add 100 PLN as top-up.

Payments & Shipping

How does shipping work?

Shipping is arranged directly between buyer and seller. When creating a listing, you can indicate whether you offer shipping or local pickup only. After a sale or swap is agreed, coordinate shipping details via the in-app messaging.

My payment failed. What should I do?

Check that your card details are correct and that you have sufficient funds. If the problem persists, try a different payment method. Payments are securely processed by Stripe.

I haven't received my item. What can I do?

If your item hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, first message the seller via in-app messaging. If you can't resolve it, open a dispute from your Transactions page and our team will investigate.

The item I received isn't as described. What now?

If the item doesn't match the listing description (wrong condition, missing pieces not disclosed, etc.), open a dispute from your Transactions page. Provide photos of what you received. Our team will mediate the resolution.

Account & Profile

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, tap 'Forgot password?' and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at support@brickswap.app to request account deletion. We'll process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR. Note that transaction records are retained for 5 years per legal requirements.

Trust & Safety

How do badges work?

Badges are earned by reaching milestones on BrickSwap. Examples include completing your first transaction, getting 5 positive reviews in a row, or completing 10 swaps. Badges appear on your profile and build trust.

How do I report a listing?

If you see a listing that violates our Terms of Service (fake photos, misleading description, etc.), use the report button on the listing page. Our moderation team will review it within 24 hours.

How do I block a user?

Visit the user's profile and tap the block option. Blocked users cannot message you or see your listings. You can manage blocked users in your account settings.
